I am so excited! I have not been able to have a garden for the last couple of years and this year I get to. I am not a great gardner...God makes everything grow and survive. I just try to keep the weeds away. But God is growing me a very nice garden this year. I can hardly wait till I actually have vegetables to pick! Right now, the things that are growing are tomatoes plants, cucumbers, green beans, peas, carrots and asparagus. I didn't actually have anything to do with the asparagus...thank you Dan and Kat! I planted strawberries, but I don't have a very good feeling about them. And I planted bell peppers, I have one plant that looks like it might be a pepper plant, but we will just have to see. I'm a little sad about those.
The garden area had not been used for a year, before we moved in, so it has taken us a long to weed it. We are still weeding most of it...just because we have not planted everything we wanted to. At this point, I think we are going to have to wait. Next year though, we are hoping to get a better start on it, and plant more. I'm just thrilled that at the chance to have any home-grown vegetables! It so fun to go out there every couple days and see how much everything is growing. The pictures are from the 6th...everything is at least twice as big as it was then.

So glad to see the garden getting used! That is great! Bummer that it had a year to overgrow with weeds, but once you get it going again yearly they will be better. I hope you guys get plenty of healthy and delicious food from your garden.
