Last weekend Stony and I took a a much needed break and went to Manitou Springs. We had a fun drive down there, talking and laughing and sometimes just being quiet. When we got there we drove through the Garden of the Gods. That really was our only destination. It was not really what either of us expected, but it was beautiful. Then we went and got a hotel room. Since we didn't have any other plans we decided just to hang out in our room and watch tv (its especially fun when your tv is only used for movies). And it was so nice to just relax with my husband and not have any plans or 'must-dos' or phone calls. We slept in a little and then head headed back home. It was short but perfect. A very much needed, much enjoyed mini-vacation.
