Vic was such a HUGE blessing to Stony and I last weekend! Stony and I had planned on going on a date on Monday night and I was so excited. Then Sunday night at work, I had a late table. So Stony and Vic were talking about how we were doing financially, how our marriage was, how we were doing with Jenny and the kids... Vic said to him, "You guys need some time with each other and some time to yourselves." The conversation continued, I jumped in and out. At the end of the night, Vic hugged me and told me he appreciated me. Then he hugged Stony and told him how much he appreciates him. Then he shook Stony's hand and told him to take me to a hotel so we could have some time with each other and some peace and rest. When he shook Stony's hand, he put $100 bill in it. I just started crying.
So Monday, Stony and I used a gift card from last Christmas and went to the Olive Garden and then we drove across the parking lot and used Vic's money and checked in at the Quality Inn. We soaked in the tub. Watched tv (which is a big deal because we don't have tv...only for movies and games). We ate snacks out of the vending machine. And best of all, we had uninterrupted time with each other. We were only there 13 hours. But when we left we both felt mentally and emotionally rejuvenated--it felt like we had gone on vacation. That little bit of time, was exactly what we needed. It was SO wonderful.
Thank you, Vic!!
