God is Working!

Last night Stony, Kizzy, Deacon and I were sitting at the table eating dinner.  We were about 1/3 of the way through when Deacon reaches his hand over to mine and with a mouth full of food says something like, "Do fthe God."  Completely confused I told Deacon to finish chewing his food and try again.  Now with an empty mouth he grabs a hold of my hand and says, "Do the God."  It took me a couple seconds but I said, "You want to pray?" 
"Yeah!  To God."  My heart totally melted.  So we all held hands and closed our eyes and prayed.  As I prayed, Deacon tried to repeat every word.  When I said "amen" every one repeated it.

He got a huge smile on his face and looked at me and Stony.  Then said, "Let's do it again!  Stony this time."  So Stony prayed and Deacon repeated it.  Then said, "Let's do it again!  Kizzy's turn."  So Kizzy prayed.  Then, "Let's do it again!"  I told him it was his turn.  He had such a huge smile by now that I thought his cheeks had to hurt.  He looked at me sheepishly, then closed his eyes..."God...thanks (something unintelligable)...God...(more unintelligable words).....Amen."  He was so proud of himself. 

It was so cool to have him initiate it and then listen to him and Kizzy pray.

The last 3 nights Kizzy has asked if we can read her Bible before bed.  Of course!!  That is exciting too!
