Laughter

I think laughter is one of the best gifts God gave us. And tonight, I am so thankful that I have had a weekend full of laughs. I'll start with tonight and go backwards...

I'm sitting on the couch catching up on friends' blogs when my husband starts talking to me from the kitchen. He has ben going in and out of the house in his robe for the last 10 minutes trying to find something in the truck. But right now, he is standing in the kitchen with his new mop. He tried to explain to me how great it is when he brought it inside this afternoon, but I just looked at him and said, "Cool." To which he replied, "You don't care." I kind of don't. I don't mop. I despise it actually (unless it is a swifer, but we don't own one, so I don't mop). So I only sorta care about his new mop. He is standing in the kitchen showing me the features of his new mop; it has a duster part. He starts dust moping the floor, sounding like a traveling sales man as he works. At the end of his "cleaning" he says, "It took me 10 second to do this floor, now you can walk in here and feel the difference." I just start cracking up because he is completely serious. I don't know if he told me this becuase he is so proud of his new mop or becuase he wants me to start using it.

Kizzy spend the night with us Friday night. One of our favorite things to do is sing songs. Every time she is here, I teach her a new song. Friday I taught her, "Little Bunny FooFoo." At the end of the song, when the Good Fairy turns him into a goon, she would get very serious, put her finger up to shake it, and say, "And I turn you into goo."

I was at my sister's on Thursday playing with my niece. We were playing "chase" so I was crawling behind her pounding my hands on the floor. Aaron kept saying, "she's gonna get you." And Alyssa would crawl away faster. She crawled right to where her dad was on the couch and tried climbing up on it. She wanted Aaron to save her. But he left her there and when I got next to her, she just started screaming at the top of her lungs! We all laughed and I backed away. She looked at me threw her face into the couch, giggled, looked at me again and started screaming. Steph said she screams like that every time she gets excited. My tummy was sore from laughing by the time I left.
