An Average Day

One of my friends posted a blog about her average day.  She has 4 kids, so her day is far more interesting than mine.  But I like hearing about other people's "normal."  She encouraged the followers of her blog to post about their average day.  So here it is.

I'm not a morning person, so I usually start my day as late as possible.  My first alarm goes off at 6:50;  I either don't hear it or hit the snooze til it shuts itself off.  My second alarm goes off at 7:15.  I hit the snooze at least twice (usually til that one shuts itself off too) and then lay in bed and stretch and blink a lot and snuggle with my husband some.  I'm usually out of bed by 7:40.

I get dressed, pack my lunch, make some tea and toast and head out the door by about 8:15.  (If I hear the bell for the school across the street, I know I am running late.)  I drive 35 minutes to the church, usually listening to worship music and praying.  I start my work day at 9:00.  I have a mid-morning snack and call my husband to make sure he is out of bed about 12.  I eat lunch around 2.  Then I get the rest of my lunch so I have a snack in the car and head home any where between 5 and 8.

When I get home, I go through the mail/bills, feed the dogs, take them out to play if I am in the mood, clean a little, play with Jenny's kids, shower, catch up on blogs or watch a movie with the kids.  Once a week I have dinner at my sister's house.  I get ready for bed about 10:30, call my husband to tell him goodnight, read and turn the light off between 11 & 11:30.  Then my husband comes home about 1 or 2.  He wakes me up and we chat for 30 minutes or so.  If I'm not too exhausted I move out to the couch with him and talk some more, eat a snack and cuddle on the couch.  I always go back to sleep and he winds down.  Then about 4:30 we move to the bedroom and I sleep til my alarm goes off.

The weekends are of course drastically different.  It all starts with me staying up with Stony and sleeping in until at least 11.  I like those days.
