Such a Cool Thing

God did such a cool thing today! 

A few weeks ago Steph and Lacey mentioned that Louie Giglio was coming to Denver.  They both wanted to go, and I did too, and we all thought it would be awesome if we could go and bring Jenny.  But I didn't know if it was in the budget and then none of us ever really followed up and so...nothing happened.

Saturday, Jenny said that Chris Tomlin was coming to Denver and that she would love to go.  Again, I thought that would be cool, but figured the tickets were way out of our price range so I didn't bother asking when he was coming or where or how much. 

Today Jamie, a girl I work with, sent out an email that said she had 2 free tickets to Chris Tomlin--tonight--if anyone wanted to go.  (she was given 4 tickets as a Christmas gift and 2 of the people she invited backed) out this morning and rather than inviting more friends, she told the staff)  I thought, 'that'd be cool'.  But spur of the moment stuff like that makes me a little uncomfortable and I thought, 'but I am either going to work late or go home and watch a stupid tv show that I love.'

But God wouldn't let me forget Jenny's words from Saturday.  So I asked Jamie if she still had the tickets and what time it started.  Then I started feeling guilty about thinking about asking Jenny because I knew that Steph or Lacey would love to go too.  I prayed about it and felt very clearly that I should ask Jenny.  So I texted her and told her that if she could find a sitter we could go to Chris Tomlin.  I didn't really expect that to happen.

She found a sitter in 15 minutes and called me back so ecstatic it made me cry.  When Jamie brought the tickets up she was jumping with excitement that I was going to get to use them with Jenny.  And then I looked at the tickets..."Chris Tomlin with Louie Giglio"  I almost started crying.

Chris Tomlin.  Louie Giglio.  Free tickets.  Jenny.  How incredible is God!
