Around Here

Friday was a tattoo kind of night.

Alyssa and B making shapes out of the clouds.

Deacon jumping off the play thing.

OUR mess.  I know this sounds silly, but I love that on our day off,
there is a mess...well that didn't sound quite right.  We made a mess
today and I feel no pressure to clean it up.
It's our mess--only ours.
I will clean it up when I want.
That is an awesome feeling!

Our new bed.  The nicest bed we have ever owned.
We have been taking turns sleeping on the couch or on swing
cushions for the last 3 weeks.
I can hardly wait to get to sleep tonight!

Beautiful flowers.
I spilled a LOT of water in our cup holders in the car.
I thought if I put flowers in the cup holders that would make it
okay that I had a giant water mess. =)

Kizzy just got back from New York with her dad.  She bought her mom a present...and me a present.  That speaks volumes to me.

Last night Kizzy told me she doesn't want to live at her apartment; she wants to come back and live with us.  I told her to give it a little time and she can come visit us tomorrow.

Deacon has been so difficult for Jenny since they moved.  Every time I see him he asks, "Brit, I come wis you?"  Rip my heart out.

Jenny is learning very quickly (albeit late) what it is like to be an adult.  I am trying so hard to encourage them all.  Stony is really trying to encourage Jenny not to completely lose all the things (boundaries and follow through, etc) that she started doing at our house.  We are both loving the peace at our house.  This is so hard.  I think this could be such a good thing for them and for us.  Praying for them has been taken to new level!

Deacon has been holding doors for me.

The other day the dogs made a mess in the kitchen.  He said, "Don't worry, Brit.  I clean it."  Then he asked Brodiss, "Did you do this stupid dog?  Did you??"  Then he looked at me and said, "Those dogs don't talk well.  They just say ruff ruff."

I ate 3 red raspberries from our bushes today.  And 2 cherry tomatoes yesterday.  The fruit is all starting to grow...yay!  Only a few more weeks and we will have fruits and veggies galore.
