July has been nothing short of a whirl-wind. Here is a quick recap since I pretty much missed the whole month. :)
Work is going great. I'm working at the church Tues-Fri. We are finishing up summer camps and outings and starting communications and detailed planning for the school year.
I'm working at the Sundeck 2 days a week. We decided that would be a good move for us for 2 reasons: 1--I get a little more time with Stony this way and 2--we would like to pay off the truck by the end of the year and all my tips go directly to that goal.
Saturdays I have had Jenny's kids. I love spending the day with them when it is just us. We try to stay home since it is one of the few days I have at home. We play at the park and run through the sprinklers. We have also spent a lot of time with my sister and her kids...Deacon loves Alyssa. And every Saturday that we don't see them, all day he asks, "See Issa day?" (Two weekends ago he asked about 18 times...I'm not exaggerating.)
The first weekend in July I danced with 7 little girls in church with banners. (Yes, I was on stage in front of our congregation...it was weird, but it was so cool to see the girls just come alive! Plus the sermon was phenomenal!)
We spent July 4th with my family. My mom invited about 23 people--everyone from my sister, to her in-laws, grandparents, great aunts & uncles, cousins and boyfriends. :) There were a lot of us! But there were only 7 of us for the fireworks. It was awesome to watch them with my husband this year! Alyssa and Deacon thought the fireworks were loud, but pretty great. I'll have to post pictures soon because Alyssa and Deacon held hands and leaned their heads on each other's shoulders when they weren't covering their ears. They were super cute!
I spent 2 days up at my parents' house helping them clean and get ready to rent their house out for the summer and move into the cabin next door.
I've spent the last 10 days dealing with mrsa...again. It is not only a terrible pain, but it is also super inconvenient!
I saw a dear friend, who I have not seen in 3 years, for an afternoon. She was on her way from Arizona to South Dakota and graciously made a pit stop so we could spend a few hours together.
We have only been to the lake twice this month. :(
Stony and I went on another date. (I like those :)) We went to see the last Harry Potter.
I've taken the last 3 Tuesday nights to just be me; relax, clean and just be home. :)
Wednesday I said goodbye to Lacey. She and Adam are moving to Alabama because Adam got a really good job there. It will be weird and hard to have her gone.
The things I have not done and I wish I had and hope to in August (maybe I am aiming too high): Spend more time with my grandparents (I was only over there twice this month)
Go see my friend Kat, her garden, her new camper and her kids...hopefully before school starts
Spend some time in the gym with the volleyball girls
See Steph, Alyssa and Baby Kayleigh more...the mrsa kept me away
Catch up on the phone with some friends
This is in addition to all the things already on the calendar (ie: mud volleyball next weekend)
I hope August doesn't go by as fast as July!
My camera broke, but I have a few pictures on my phone. I'll try to post those soon.
